about

The Benzoids Parker, Colorado

After a few years of playing together in a basement, covering Strokes songs with no drummer, the band started to write their own music. Slowly, but surely, an album was formed.

With their intertwining harmonies, weird guitar tones, hard punk vibes with callbacks to the neon-lit music scene of the 80's, the Benzoids seek to bring a fresh new spin on the tried-and-true rock sound.

Track Name: Redhead (Soft Intro)
baby i hear that you’re no fun
baby i hear you’ve got a gun
telling all you need to with a glance
black coffee, black coffee, you’re in a trance

i wanna dance

sky’s fallin, baby don’t sweat it now, let ‘em down
people running, people fighting, people talking you down
red letter, red head, red rover, red run run run...

don’t let it, let it out

baby i hear that you’re no fun
baby i hear you’ve got a gun
telling all you need to with a glance
black coffee black coffee, you’re in a trance

i wanna dance
Track Name: That's Okay
i thought she didn’t care, now that’s okay
i thought she didn’t listen, that’s okay
dropped my drink on the floor, now that’s okay
dropped those roses on her doorstep, that’s okay

don’t tear it down
don’t tell her no
now he don’t think that she’s the same, not anymore

can't i take a stand
tell me that you just don't fucking care

i thought she didn’t care, now that’s okay
i bought her one old fashioned, that’s okay
mailed a bible to the school board, that’s okay
nailed a cross to her forehead, that’s okay

don’t tear it down
don’t break the wall
now he don’t think that she’s the same, not anymore

can't i take a stand
tell me that you just don't fucking care
Track Name: Divider
she and him, spending a night in sin, everything else seemed way too bright,
their heads were spinning they had, way too much,
neon signs, burning like the sun, nobody cares that she was first,
spend the night away, take it anyway…

you think i know you well, your rosy glasses cover the road
too much too soon i’m on my way,
her mind’s off track the ride back, easy living when i drink that,
i know what you want, so tell me now where i should go

run me off the road,
crash into the divider now, take me back home

run me off the road,
make my brake lights turn bright red, and take me back home,

take me back home

she and him, together till the end, everything else went right that night...
her head was spinnin’ and his eyes were frozen shut
neon signs, “honey turn off the brights,” nobody cares that he drank four,
raining hard tonight, turn at the next light...

you think i know you well, your rosy glasses cover the road
too much too soon i’m on my way,
her mind’s off track the ride back, easy living when i drink that,
i know what you want, so tell me now where i should go

run me off the road,
crash into the divider now, take me back home

run me off the road,
takin’ off your blinders now, take me back home

take me back home
